Company History

Specaero was founded in 1975 by Roy Oliver. Roy’s vision was to create a clearinghouse for excess lot traceable aerospace fasteners. Specaero takes immense pride in recognizing the founder of our company.

In 1991 Specaero re-located from Inglewood to Ventura, California. This 12,250 square foot facility has been our base of operation ever since. David Sullivan joined Roy at Specaero shortly after the doors opened in 1975. After Roy’s sudden passing in 1993, David became president of the company. Roy’s philosophies and practices have been carried on by David into new generations of service.

Today our name is still as strong as ever in an industry of growing competitors. Rapid technology growth causes every company to adapt their procedures in order to keep pace with changes in communication and internal procedures. Specaero blends all of the capabilities of the modern business world with the traditional values and principles that were established by our founding team in order to provide the best possible customer service in today’s global economy.
